ِِAn antibiotic containing cefuroxime used to treat a variety of bacterial infections, such as those affecting the throat, lungs, urinary tract, and skin.
- Active Ingredient: Cefuroxime axetil (500 mg per tablet).
- Uses:
- Respiratory tract infections (pharyngitis, tonsillitis, bronchitis, pneumonia).
- Ear infections (otitis media) and sinus infections (sinusitis).
- Urinary tract infections (UTIs).
- Skin and soft tissue infections (impetigo, pyoderma).
- Gonorrhea.
- Early Lyme disease.
- Dosage: The usual adult dose is 250 mg to 500 mg twice daily (every 12 hours), but the exact dosage and duration should be determined by a doctor based on the severity and type of infection.
